The Restex Boots are compression therapy boots for sports recovery and day-to-day leg wellbeing (heavy legs, lymphatic drainage at home, water retention, cellulite, circulation). For everyday wellbeing use, the boots can be used with complete peace of mind. Start at low pressure (80-120 mmHg), 20 to 30 minutes per session, and adjust gradually to suit your comfort.
Ask your doctor before use if any of the following apply to you:
- Pregnancy (any trimester)
- Deep vein thrombosis, acute phlebitis or a history of it
- Severe venous or arterial insufficiency
- Diagnosed lymphoedema or lipoedema
- Diabetes with neuropathy
- A pacemaker or implanted device
- Recent surgery on the legs
- Open wounds, infection or active skin inflammation (erysipelas, inflammatory eczema)
- Uncontrolled high blood pressure, arrhythmia
- Ongoing cancer treatment
- Epilepsy, chronic migraines
In those situations, only your doctor or physiotherapist can decide whether the Restex boots suit your particular case, and at what settings. Using the boots on micro muscle tears is also not advised.
