THE BIRTH OF RESTEX
As former international rugby player and consultant, Louis experienced sore muscles, repeated injuries, bruises, tension and stress in his daily life.
Having to juggle bewteen the demands of a professional sport and the workload of a top consulting company, his lack of time clearly had an impact on his physical health, directly affecting his daily well-being. He clearly became aware that his body would be his main source to achieve his goals whether at work or on the pitch, so it was important to find a way to preserve it!
Away on rugby tournaments, he discovered the benefits of compression and percussion therapy. However, that technology was only reserved for healthcare professionals, was not easy to transport and was way too costly for individuals.
In 2019, Louis was struck with a shoulder injury for which he had to make regular visits to his physiotherapist. Although these rehab sessions are essential, they required time and presence, which was not always compatible with his busy schedule and travel for work.
At this time, he decided to buy a percussion therapy device he found online to assist him on a daily basis and complement the treatment of a professional.
After a while, he was not satisfied with the quality of the good he received. The lack of customer support, bad warranty, and the product was lacking essential functions.
At this time, an idea popped up in his head: to create a recovery product line to help athletes attain their goals and help people in tbeir daily wellbeing.
After one year of development, multiple back and forths with healthcare profesionals, athletes, and regular people; multiples prototypes, our first line of products for the general public was born: the Restex RELIEF percussion therapy device, the Restex BOOTS pressotherapy device and the Restex Agility Ball.
The feedback from the first customers are clear: Restex is a revolution that accompanies them in their daily well-being and performance.
